Steps:

  1. With a philips n.2 screw, removewthe 6 screws that hold the main two parts of the lid together.

  3. You'll probably see water accumulated in a few areas, and everything will be wet.
  4. With a paper towel, go throughly drying everywhere you see water.
  5. Careful when managing this step, there are wires tethering the two parts and these are soldered, can't be removed.

  7. There are three small screws holding the sensor board. unscrew them to have access to the other side of the board and the plastic lid
  8. Optionally, a bit of Isopropyl alcohol with a cotton bud can be rubbed over the boards, and this evaporates very quickly.
  9. Make sure to squeeze a bit of paper towel in the sensors cavity, there's most likely water there!

  11. Before reassembling, I cleaned this spring that opens the lid, since I couldn't tell if this was lubricating grease or just disgusting grease. I replaced it with a bit of lubricating grease, but I doubt this is needed.
  12. i also added a little bit of grease to the gears at the other side (forgot to take a picture)
