Steps:
- Open the appropriate side door of your vehicle that requires a door handle replacement.
- Locate the tab on the panel behind the door handle.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver (1 x 3 mm) to move the tab to the right and slightly pull the panel out.
- Locate two (2) Phillips head screws behind the door handle.
- Remove the two Phillips head screws (1.6 x 1.3 x 10.16 mm) using a Phillips head screwdriver (1 x 3 mm).
- The first image shows the approximate location of 3 tabs behind the door handle assembly. Knowing the location of tabs is useful when attempting to release assembly.
- Using your left hand, pull the assembly to the left to reveal the tab on the right. While pulling on the assembly, use a flat-head screwdriver (1 x 3 mm) to press the tab inward to release.
- Once the tab on the right is released, a slight pull of assembly will release it from the door.
- Rotate the door handle assembly for ease of access to clips
- Locate the first clip holding the door cable.
- Rotate the clip clockwise to unlock the cable.
- Once unlocked, pull the cable end from the holder.
- Locate the second clip holding the door cable.
- Using a flat-head screwdriver (1 x 3 mm), release the clip.
- Once the cable is released, the assembly is free to remove.
