JBL Tune 510BT LED and Refractor Replacement

Steps:

1. Firmly grasp the earmuff and pull away from the center until the lip of the earmuff is disengaged.
2. Pull the earmuff towards the center of the headphones until it is free.

3. Remove the three 3 mm screws using a JIS #00 screwdriver.

4. Carefully remove the faceplate by lifting it firmly.
5. Avoid rough movements, as there is a single thin wire connecting the faceplate to the internals.
6. If the repair is for the right-side driver, be mindful of the charging port, as the faceplate has a slot there for it. Lift the opposite end and back the port out.
7. To completely detach the faceplate, desolder the wires from the connections on the motherboard.

8. This is where you would find the rubber housing normally.
9. If the rubber housing is dislodged, which is fairly common, simply replace it in its correct orientation to its seating, being sure to place the indicated piece through the hole to the exterior of the headphones.

10. Heat the small spots of solder where the two LED strips are on the circuit board with a soldering iron.
11. The yellow strip is the white LED, and the white strip is the red and blue LED. Make note of their orientation and positions.
12. Solder the new LEDs into position, making sure the contacts are solid.
