Steps:

1. Press on the left most side on the small plastic cap on the back of the radio (it is loosely glued in place).
2. When the plastic cap comes loose, remove it completely to access the lock mechanism below.

3. Slide the lock mechanism all the way to the left. Now the solar panel is no longer locked in place.
4. Remove the solar panel, by lifting it on the top part. You can use a suction cup or carefully tilt the device when it's in an upright position.
5. Be mindful on the wire connecting the solar panel to the rest of the device.

6. Remove the six 2.5mm Hex screws.

7. Pull the two halves of the device case apart.
8. There are no wires connecting the two parts of the case, but the solar panel wire goes through a hole in the back case and connects it to the rest of the device.
