Steps:

1. Using an opening tool, pry off the the outer front plate.
2. It might take a bit of wiggling and time to loosen it and get it off.
3. Once the front plate is loose, pull it off.

4. Using an opening tool, pry off the the handle grips.
5. It might take a bit of wiggling and time to loosen and get them off.
6. Once they're loose, pull off the handle grip plates.

7. Using an opening tool, pry off the Xbox logo plate.
8. It might take a bit of wiggling and time to loosen it and get it off.
9. Once it's loose, pull off the Xbox logo plate.

10. Remove ten 9 mm screws from the controller using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

11. Using an opening tool, pry off the backplate of the controller. It should come off relatively easily.
12. If it is struggling to come off, you might have missed a screw. Make sure you have removed all screws.
