Steps:

  1. The watch is held together by friction and a thin black gasket. There are no screws or glue.
  2. Place a thin metal smartphone opening tool between the metal case and the glass/display side of the watch, not on the sensor side.
  3. Work your way around the watch carefully to release the gasket.

  4. Once the watch is open, you can see the movement and a small cable connecting the sensor to it.
  5. The cable has an iPhone-like connector and can be released with a plastic spudger.
  6. Carefully pry the connector straight up to avoid damage.
  7. Do not pull on the cable. Disconnect the connector first.

  8. Remove any old adhesive residue from the case and sensor cover.
  9. Clean both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.
  10. Do not scratch the glass or sensor area.

  11. Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive around the edge.
  12. Keep adhesive away from the sensor opening and the crown.
  13. Less adhesive is better here.
  14. Set the sensor cover straight into the case.
  15. Press it evenly until it sits flush.
  16. Check that the crown still moves freely.
  17. Stop if the cover tilts or sits unevenly.
  18. Hold the watch with light pressure until the adhesive sets.
  19. Let the repair cure completely.
  20. Check the crown and sensors after curing.
  21. Water resistance is not guaranteed after this repair.
