Steps:

  1. Create aluminum bar with bolt to keep broken battery door closed using tripod mount

  3. Use Plastic Cover Guideand Power/Shutter Assembly Guide to disassemble and access battery tensioner
    4. Step image
  4. Use small needle nose plier to adjust battery spring tension according to diagram. If original spring tension was reduced, battery door likely wouldn't have broken.
