Beko refrigerator leaking water inside, under the vegetable drawer.

Description:

Steps:

  1. Beko Fridge or Refrigerator, without a drain hole in sight, everything is covered by the bottom panel of the refrigerator, it leaks water through the lower seam.
  2. Clearly the problem is a clogged drain tube to the condensate tray at the back above the compressor.
  3. Photo 3: The refrigerator leaks water through the seam at the bottom.

  5. At the back, lower part of the refrigerator we find the condensate tray and we clearly see in the center the drain tube that comes from the inside to the tray.
  6. A first attempt to unclog the interior hole would be to insert an electrician's guide through this tube, or a thin transparent plastic tube like those used in aquariums, or a piece of rigid wire to try to unclog the upper part of the tube, the interior orifice.
  7. If we cannot unclog the tube because the inserted element collides with something, and the water continues to flow to the bottom of the drawers, it's because the hole has frozen, which is why we cannot 'unclog' it with the proven methods.
  8. That drop that we see falling is from ice in the "plug" that is thawing, but it hasn't managed to melt the plug.

  10. At this point we only have 2 options:
  11. The 1st being the most complicated; trying to remove the bottom panel of the refrigerator. But if we can't visualize it clearly, we risk breaking the cover. The 2nd option is the simplest.
  12. 2nd Option, as a member of another forum, advised: spend the week expending most of the stored food and when the refrigerator gets half empty, take the remaining food to a family member or neighbor's house.
  13. Once the food problem has been solved, the repair consists of COMPLETELY DEFROSTING THE FRIDGE: IF WE ARE IN SUMMER, disconnect the refrigerator and leave it open all night for about 8 to 12 hours so that it defrosts completely (In particular:) 'The part that we cannot access as it is covered'.
  14. In the morning, dry the entire interior of the refrigerator, check the rear tray if it is full of water, empty it with a sponge or cloth, (BE CAREFUL not to remove it as it may break) and once everything is dry, close it and plug it in.
  15. If everything went well, we will try it for a couple of days and see that it no longer leaks water through the inside seam. If the problem recurs, the only option is to remove the bottom panel of the refrigerator.
  16. END of the Guide.
