Steps:

1. Flip the Roomba on its backside.
2. Remove the two 12.7 mm screws on the panel above the brushes using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

3. Remove the panel from the iRobot Roomba Essential Robot.

4. Place fingers along the side of the battery.
5. Pull upwards to remove the battery from its compartment.
6. Hold the battery to the side of the vacuum.

7. Apply pressure to the clip holding the battery into the vacuum.
8. Pull the battery and its attached cords from the inside of the Roomba.

9. Remove the battery from the vacuum.
