Steps:

1. Loosen the screws from the base plate.
2. Using a Philips #1 screwdriver fully loosen the six screws on the back cover.
3. These screws are captive - they will not fully come out after being unscrewed.

4. Insert the iFixit opening tool into the space between the base plate and the chassis.
5. Glide the tool along the perimeter of the case in order to release the clips holding the case and chassis together.

6. Grab the edge of the cover and lift the cover away from you.
7. There may be additional clips holding the cover in place. These remaining clips will release easily as you remove the cover.

8. Grab the battery pull-tab at the top of the connector plugin.
9. Pull the connector straight out in the direction toward the cable.

10. Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the 3.7 mm Phillips screw securing the SSD.

11. Disconnect the SSD from its socket.
12. If it requires excess force to remove, wiggle side to side while pulling.
