Xbox Series X Base Replacement

Steps:

1. Before you begin, completely power down and unplug all cables from your console.
2. A locking tab on the bottom of the shell (under the base) holds the base in place.
3. You can access the tab through the vent holes on the back of your Xbox, but you may need a flashlight. Alternatively, you can remove the back panel for easier access.
4. Stick a long, skinny flathead screwdriver through one of the vent holes on the back of your Xbox, near the locking tab.
5. Insert the screwdriver between the locking tab and the base. This might take a few tries—use a flashlight if you're having trouble.
6. Use the screwdriver to pry the tab inward (away from the base) into its open and unlocked position.
7. Keep the tab held open for the next step.

8. With the locking tab held open, grip the base and rotate it counterclockwise to unlock it from the shell.
9. Remove the base.
10. During reassembly, put the base tabs into their holes on the shell and twist clockwise until the base snaps into the interior locking tab.
11. When locked in place, the Hello from Seattle line will be parallel with the device's sides.
