Steps:
- Release the two screws at the front bottom and tilt the cover away.
- First, close the supply and return shut-off valves, open the bleed screws (as described on page 31 of the manual), and drain the water from the heater by loosening the drain screws.
- The front part of the pump can be separated from the pump housing after you release the 4 screws.
- (Point 1 in the second image is the pump bleeder screw)
- The impeller with the bearing housing can be pulled out from the front part of the pump. After measurements, it turned out that the impeller was protruding too far. I stood the part with the impeller on the table and tapped the opposite side lightly with a hammer. The impeller could be driven in by about 4 mm.
- After reassembly, follow page 31 of the manual and reopen the flow and return shut-off valves. After testing, the heating boiler is working perfectly again.
- Finally, a word on the dangers. Since this is a gas-fired boiler, I would not carry out a repair involving the gas path, but would commission a qualified heating technician to perform the repair.
