Steps:

  1. First you have to release the "lock" for the battery. You can do this by simply pushing the two sliders in the direction of the arrows.
  2. ATTENTION: The right slider does not lock, you have to hold it.

  4. Now you can pull the battery out and up. It might be a little tight, so feel free to use a little more force.

  6. After the battery is removed, you can easily loosen the two screws shown using a Phillips screwdriver.
  7. ATTENTION: Here is a guarantee seal! You have to break this to remove the back cover. Your warranty claims will therefore be lost! (Translator's note: This is not always true, check the law where you live.)

  9. Now you can easily slide off the back cover in the direction of the arrows.
  10. You can then remove it by lifting upwards.

  12. After you remove the back cover, you can already see the BIOS battery.
  13. The battery installed here is special. The battery has leads soldered to it to prevent it from being easily replaced. However, with the right spare part, this can be done without any problems.

  15. Now use a flat-head screwdriver and carefully pry the battery out of the housing.
  16. Be careful not to puncture the battery!
