Steps:

1. Completely shut down your device and disconnect any peripheries before beginning.
2. Lay the laptop down with the lower case facing up.
3. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove eight 3 mm screws that secure the lower case.

4. Lift the lower case up and off of the chassis.
5. If necessary, insert an opening pick into the gap between the lower case and chassis and pry around the entire perimeter until the lower case fully releases.
