Steps:

  1. Open the hand crank to reveal the battery door.
  2. Use your thump or finger to push open the battery door catch and remove the panel.
  3. Now you have access to the battery compartment with the larger Li-ion battery and the spot for six AA batteries. Do not store the radio with AA batteries in as that can leak over time when not used.
  4. You can now check or replace batteries as needed.
