Steps:

  1. Orient the laptop so that the underside is facing up.
  2. Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the nine 6.3 mm screws that secure the lower case.

  3. Wedge three opening picks into the seam between the back panel and the laptop: One in the bottom edge and one on either side of the laptop.
  4. Slide the picks around the perimeter until the lower case fully releases.
  5. Remove the lower case.
