Steps:

  1. Align the top edge of the earpiece speaker with the top edge of the frame
  2. Lay the earpiece speaker into its recess.
  3. You may need to push the speaker upwards towards the top edge of the frame in order to get it to seat properly.

  4. Install the six screws securing the earpiece speaker:
  5. One 2.4 mm‑long Phillips screw
  6. Three 1.3 mm‑long Phillips screws
  7. One 1.6 mm‑long Phillips screw
  8. One 3.3 mm‑long standoff screw

  9. Use your finger or a spudger to press the earpiece speaker connector onto the logic board.
  10. To re-attach press connectors like this one, carefully align and press down on one side until it clicks into place, then repeat on the other side. Don't press down in the middle. If the connector is misaligned, the pins can bend, causing permanent damage.
