Steps:

  1. Shut down your computer completely.
  2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the computer.

  4. Slide the panel backward and lift it off to expose the inside of your computer.
  5. Step image
  6. Carefully unplug all cables connected to the power supply.
  7. Pull the connectors straight out—avoid tugging on the wires.
  8. The 24-pin motherboard cable
  9. The 8-pin CPU power cable (usually near the top of the motherboard)
  10. The PCIe power cables (connected to your graphics card)
  11. The SATA or Molex cables (connected to your storage drives)

  13. Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the four screws 3 mm pan head screws that secure the power supply to the back of the case.

  15. Slide the old power supply out of the case and set it aside.
  16. Insert the new power supply.
  17. Align the screw holes at the back of the case and use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to tighten the four mounting screws so the power supply is firmly in place.

  19. Plug the new power supply cables into the same components as before:
  20. 24-pin connector to the motherboard
  21. 8-pin CPU connector at the top of the motherboard
  22. PCIe power cables to the graphics card
  23. SATA or Molex cables to any hard drives, SSDs, or fans
