Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook Speaker Replacement

Steps:

1. Power the laptop down and disconnect the charger and any peripheries before beginning.
2. Close the lid and turn the laptop over so the underside is facing up.
3. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the ten 7 mm-long screws on the lower case.

4. Flip the Chromebook over again.
5. Open the lid 180 degrees, folding the Chromebook in half like a tablet.
6. Insert an opening pick between the palmrest and keyboard assembly and the chassis.
7. Slide the pick around the perimeter until the assembly releases.

8. Slowly lift the palmrest and keyboard assembly, with care not to strain the connected ribbon cables.
9. Flip up the locking flap securing the keyboard ribbon cable.
10. Disconnect the keyboard ribbon cable.

11. Flip up the locking flap securing the touchpad ribbon cable.
12. Disconnect the touchpad ribbon cable.
13. Remove the palmrest and keyboard assembly.

14. Remove the three 3 mm-long Phillips #00 screws securing the battery.

15. Use your fingernails to gently "walk" the battery connector directly out of its motherboard socket.
16. Remove the battery.

17. Remove the four 3.5 mm-long screws that secure each of the two speakers.

18. Use your fingernails to gently "walk" the speaker connector out of its I/O board socket.

19. Lift the left speaker and unseat the cable from its retaining hooks.

20. Lift and fully remove the speakers.
