Steps:

  1. Use a pry tool or fingernail to carefully remove the large foot on the lower end of the mouse.
  2. Remove the three 7 mm screws using a Torx T6 screwdriver.

  4. BEFORE YOU OPEN THE MOUSE: Be careful at this point. Both shells are connected with a cable in the front of the mouse.
  5. Insert a spudger into the seam between the top and bottom shells.
  6. Gently work around the edges unclipping the internal latches.
  7. Slowly lift the top shell but do not remove it yet; the cables are still attached to the circuit board.
  8. Carefully pull the shells apart to unplug the cable in the front.

  10. Using a small pry tool or your fingers, gently pop the scroll wheel up and out of its housing

  12. Use a T6 Torx screwdriver to remove the 5mm screws from the circuit board.
  13. Unplug the battery from its connection on the right.
  14. Be careful not to break the two clips that hold the PCB at the front of the mouse.
  15. Remove the circuit board from the mouse.

  17. Always solder in a well ventilated area.
  18. Apply solder to the four anchor points on the back corners and side of the USB-C port.
  19. Once the solder has melted, use tweezers to remove the USB-C port.
  20. Use a solder sucker to clean the area.

  22. Apply flux, then apply solder to one anchor point to help line up the new USB-C port.
  23. Once the USB-C port is aligned, apply flux to the other three anchor points and solder them.
