Steps:
- Unplug the machine.
- Make sure the machine is turned off before unplugging the machine.
- Open the pulley lid.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to lift the belt in an upward motion to disconnect the old belt.
- Take off the motor adjusting knob from your drill press.
- After unscrewing the knob, adjust the motor to the right distance from the pulley spindle.
- Remove the 36" shoelace and the new replacement belt.
- Wrap half of the belt around the pulley spindle.
- Wrap the shoelace onto the other half of the new belt.
- Start to pull the shoelace towards the pulley motor.
- Make sure to have the motor in place during this step.
- Tighten the motor adjusting knob back into place.
- After setting the belt into place, you can set it up from the top to bottom of both the pulleys.
- The belt must be leveled in order for the drill press to work properly.
- Close the pulley lid.
- Plug the machine back in.
- Turn on the machine.
