Steps:

1. Turn the vehicle completely off and remove the key.

3. Open the hood and identify the fuse box.

5. Refer to the fuse box diagram to locate the correct fuse.
6. Each fuse controls a specific electrical component in the car, so if the wrong fuse is chosen, nothing will change.
7. Fuse pullers are often found at the circled location.

8. Use the fuse puller to remove the fuse by pulling it straight up.
9. By pulling straight up, you can avoid bending or damaging metal parts within the fuse box.

10. Hold the fuse up to a light and check whether the metal strip inside is broken.
11. If the strip is broken, the fuse has blown and will not allow current to flow.

12. Make sure that the replacement fuse is the same amperage.
13. Push the new fuse into the corresponding spot.

14. Close up the fuse box and hood. Then turn on your truck!
15. If the component still does not work, you may have replaced the wrong fuse.
