Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra replacement battery installation
ID: 200129
Description: This guide shows how to replace the replacement...
Steps:
- Turn off your tablet and wait a moment.
- Heat the back of the device on a heating pad at approximately 75°C for about 5 minutes. If you place the display directly on the heating pad, the display may laminate and form waves.
- Begin prying open the upper corners carefully. Use a thin plastic card or an ultra-thin metal opening tool with a large prying surface to do this. Use isopropyl alcohol along the edges to make the adhesive even more pliable.
- Be aware of the red-marked areas, as there are internal adhesive strips there that can only be released with patience, heat, and isopropyl alcohol. Use a long plastic card to release the adhesive.
- As soon as you have created an initial opening, switch to plastic opening tools to reduce the risk of damaging the ribbon cables.
- Work your way slowly around the tablet.
- Once you have released the display, turn the device back on to check the functionality of the display.
- Carefully flip the display over and disconnect the two connectors with a nylon spudger
- Remove all 41 Phillips screws using a PH000 screwdriver. You do not need to remove the speaker screws. All screws are identical.
- Now remove the gray midframe.
- First, remove the flex cable from the replacement battery (red marking) using a nylon spudger.
- Remove the remaining flex cables (green marking).
- Use a heat pad to warm the back of the tablet for a few minutes.
- Use isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the replacement battery to loosen the adhesive.
- Use playing cards or plastic cards to carefully pry the replacement battery out of the adhesive strips (red markings).
- Remove the replacement battery and dispose of it properly.
- Take the new replacement battery and remove the adhesive covers. Briefly connect the battery connector to ensure the replacement battery is positioned correctly.
- Once the replacement battery is correctly placed, disconnect the battery connector!
- Follow the steps in reverse order to reassemble the tablet.
- Before you re-glue the tablet, turn it on one more time to check it.
- Congratulations, you have now successfully repaired your Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (hopefully).
