Steps:

1. Power off the laptop.
2. Unplug the charger and any peripheries before beginning.

3. Optional: Put on the Anti-Static Wrist Strap and ground it to something made of metal (not to the laptop or anything energized).

4. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the eleven 6.8 mm-long screws on the lower case.

5. Insert an opening tool between the chassis and keyboard/palm rest assembly.
6. Pry around the entire perimeter until the assembly releases.
7. Slightly lift the assembly, with care not to strain the two connected ribbon cables.

8. Flip up the locking tab on the left ZIF connection and pull the cable out parallel to the to the socket.
9. Disconnect the second ribbon cable.
10. Remove the keyboard and palm rest assembly.

11. On the bottom of the keyboard, remove the large black sticker covering the screws.

12. Remove all four 3.4 mm-long Phillips screws securing the trackpad.

13. Lift the stickers holding down the trackpad.
14. Remove the trackpad.
