Steps:

  1. Before beginning, completely power off the laptop and unplug the charger and any peripheries.
  2. Flip the laptop over so the lower case is facing up.
  3. Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the seven 8 mm-long screws securing the lower case.

  4. Insert an opening tool into the seam between the lower case and chassis.
  5. Pry around the entire perimeter until the lower case fully releases.
  6. Lift and remove the lower case.

  7. Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the three 4 mm-long screws securing the battery.
  8. Carefully lift the battery and remove it from the laptop.

  9. Remove the single 2 mm-long Phillips #1 screw securing the SSD.

  10. Gently pull the SSD directly out of its socket.
