Remington WPG4035 Trimmer - check charger contact / repair

Description: May solve this problems: (1) No battery...

Steps:

1. Twist off the head

2. use a stub knife (like the stub side of a butter knife)

3. Carefully lever off the knob with a small knife.
4. To reassemble: This small hook should be in that hole.
5. Take care, to no lose this little part.

7. Your hear a "blob" sound, when a locking is open.
8. There are two hocks on each side, which has hold the outer cap. These may help you to lever up. But stay careful.
9. An image of the two inner locks.

10. use a pliers to pull it out
11. Do not lose this little plastic part.

12. just image, and some technical data (incl. power supply polarity).

13. We will check for a working connection:
14. Connect the charger.
15. Press all parts together.
16. Connected it only correctly. Not the wrong way round. ( Last image shows the origin. )
17. The LED should now glow (=on):
18. If not: Press a bit more to have a bedder electric contact.
19. Still no LED on?: You Problem are maybe somewhere else.

20. Use a small screw (2mm width, flat) to bend the metal up:
21. 1.) Bend it from inside out.
22. 2.) Bend the two lateral (the tooth) out, to make it more flat (= more narrow / tight).
23. left side: is defect: You should bend it up.
24. right side: OK. So it should look like.

25. (optional:) Use a soldering station to rework the contact. Especially the contact of charger and battery.
