Hyundai Accent GLS Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Description: The CMPS is installed on the engine head cover...

Steps:

1. Here's the engine cover, it's held on by ball sockets.
2. Grasp it by the front edge.
3. Give it a firm yank upward.

4. Grab the rear edge of the cover.
5. Yank it upward.
6. Remove it.

7. The camshaft position sensors are found next to the high pressure fuel pump.
8. The intake camshaft position sensor.
9. And the exhaust camshaft position sensor.

10. Press the locking tab firmly.
11. Pull the connector off.

12. Press firmly on the locking tab.
13. Pull the connector off.

14. Using a 10mm socket, remove the retaining bolt.

15. Using a 10mm socket, remove the retaining bolt.

16. Grasp the sensor and pull straight up to remove it.

17. Grasp the sensor and pull straight up to remove it.
