Description: The coiled hoses on these oral irrigators...
Steps:
- Remove the handpiece.
- Press the blue button on the back and pull off the spray nozzle.
- Use a suitable tool, such as a small flathead screwdriver, to remove the blue button. Be careful not to lose the small spring.
- Gently pull the blue slider away from the handpiece until it comes loose.
- Underneath is a small white plastic slider. Slide it all the way down, then you can remove it.
- Insert a small flathead screwdriver into the gap between the bottom of the handpiece and the handpiece itself.
- Push the bottom away from the handpiece until it comes loose.
- Pull the inner part all the way out of the handpiece.
- Detach the spiral tube from the handpiece:
- Use a small flathead screwdriver to pry the white plastic ring away from the connector. Keep it in a safe place; do not lose it.
- Use a utility knife to make a small vertical cut in the spiral tube right at the connector.
- Pull the spiral tube off.
- For reassembly:
- First, slide the small white plastic ring a few centimeters into the spiral hose.
- Hold the end of the spiral hose in hot water for one minute until the plastic has softened. Slide the end of the spiral hose over the connector.
- Slide the white ring as far as possible over the connector so that the spiral hose is securely clamped in place.
- Here are all the parts of the handpiece.
- Use a small flathead screwdriver to pry off the mounting plate on the back.
- Open the lid and lift the nozzle holder straight up to remove it.
- Remove the three Torx T10 screws on the back. (In Figure 1, one is still hidden under the nozzle holder.)
- Remove the Torx T10 screw on the base plate.
- Pull the back panel away from the device.
- Look for the small plastic pin with a spring at the top of the housing. This pin holds the cover in place at the end positions. Be careful not to lose the pin or the spring.
- Remove the defective spiral hose in the same way as with the handpiece:
- Push the small white plastic ring back. Cut the hose open lengthwise at the connector and pull it off.
- To reassemble:
- Push the end of the spiral hose through the opening in the housing.
- Proceed exactly as with the handpiece:
- Slide the plastic ring over the hose section. Hold the end of the hose in hot water. Push the end over the connector. Slide the plastic ring onto it.
