Steps:
- Pull the lower dish rack straight out of the dishwasher tub.
- Lift the dish rack upward to disengage it from the track stops.
- Remove the dish rack from the dishwasher and set it aside.
- Pull the nook of the spray arm away from you while simultaneously lifting the whole spray arm upwards to remove it.
- A flathead screwdriver may help to lift the nook, but it's optional.
- Inspect the mounting shaft for food debris or mineral buildup.
- Wipe the mounting area clean with a dry cloth.
- Inspect the spray arm holes for clogs to confirm replacement is necessary.
- Align the new spray arm with the mounting shaft and lower the spray arm onto the shaft until it sits flat.
- Reinstall the spray arm retainer by turning it clockwise.
- Caution: Do not overtighten the retainer, as this can damage the threads or spray arm.
- Position the lower dish rack onto the track rails.
- Slide the dish rack fully into the dishwasher tub.
- Ensure the dish rack moves smoothly along the tracks.
- Spin the spray arm by hand to confirm it rotates freely before closing the dishwasher door.
