Steps:

  1. Remove the harness plate screw and two top screws on the rear panel with a quarter inch hex driver.
  2. Pull the lid toward you, lift upward, then push it back so it pivots on the rear metal tabs.
  3. Tape the lid down before lifting to prevent accidental slamming.
  4. Support the raised top so it cannot fall backward.
  5. Reach inside the front left corner and remove the folded technician’s sheet.
  6. Rotate the main cycle knob counter-clockwise until it rests at the 12 o’clock position after one full turn.
  7. Turn the knob right three clicks, left one click, then right one click, pausing about half a second between moves.
  8. All green status lights flashing together confirm successful entry into diagnostics.
  9. Turn the knob clockwise to scroll through the available service options.
  10. The menu order is Error Code Check, Automatic Test, Manual Test, and Recalibration.
  11. Stop at the Cycle Complete lamp, then press Start to enter error code mode.
  12. After the lamps flash, rotate the knob clockwise to display up to four stored fault codes.
  13. Move to the fifth position and hold Start for about five seconds to erase all codes.
  14. A lit Sensing Fill lamp means the code prefix is F; if it is dark the prefix is E.
  15. Add the illuminated number lamps to form the full code such as F0E5.
  16. Refer to the technician sheet if a displayed code is not listed here.
  17. Treat codes as clues because wiring or other issues can trigger them even when a part is still good.
  18. Rotate to Automatic Test and press Start to run a three-minute check of every major component.
  19. The lid lock engages, so leave the top loose or remove the striker for observation.
  20. Remove the two Torx screws, slide the striker from the lid, and insert it into the lock to fool the switch.
  21. Opening the lid during high-speed spin can cause injury or damage.
  22. Press Start to enter Manual Test then turn the knob to the function you want to evaluate.
  23. Press Start again to begin the action and press it once more to stop it.
  24. Select Lid Lock first when you plan to run spin or agitation tests.
  25. Some knob positions are placeholders for features not installed on your model; check the tech sheet.
  26. Hold Start for three to four seconds to exit Manual Test and return the washer to standby.
  27. From diagnostics rotate the knob four clicks clockwise until only the Rinse lamp is lit and press Start.
  28. The washer recalibrates motors sensors and shift mechanisms in roughly two and a half minutes.
  29. All panel lamps turn off when calibration is complete and the washer is ready for normal use.
  30. Lower the top onto the rear hinges slide it forward and reinstall the three back screws.
  31. Refit the lid striker if it was removed and take off any tape from the lid.
