Steps:

1. Use a spudger to pry and remove the rubber screw protectors.

2. Remove all eight 5mm screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

3. Insert the opening tool in the bottom of the case.
4. Apply pressure around the edges to pry off the case.
5. When reassembling, line up the bottom of the case and gently apply pressure to reattach.

6. Use a spudger to flip up the tab on the ribbon connector.
7. Detach the cable connecting the battery to the motherboard.
8. Ribbon cables are easy to damage; use caution when detaching them.

9. Remove four 4mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
10. Lift the cord and remove the battery from the case.

11. Disconnect the speaker cable and peel back the tape securing the cable to the motherboard.

12. Remove the four 4 mm screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

13. Remove the speaker cable from the routing channel.
14. Lift the speakers out of the laptop.

15. Use a spudger to lift the tab on the ribbon connector.
16. Detach the cable.

17. Peel back the plastic film with a spudger.

18. Remove all six 2mm screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
19. Lift and remove the metal touchpad bracket.

20. Remove the trackpad from the case.
