Steps:

  1. Open the trunk.
  2. Remove the access cover.
  3. Locate the two T25 Torx screws securing the tail light.

  5. Use a T25 Torx bit to loosen the upper screw securing the tail light.
  6. Repeat for the lower screw.
  7. Remove both screws completely and set them aside in a safe place.
  8. Do not drop the screws inside the trunk or body panel. Keep them in a safe place for reinstallation.

  10. Grasp the tail light assembly firmly with both hands.
  11. Pull the tail light straight outward from the vehicle to release it from the mounting clips.
  12. Pull the tail light straight out. Do not twist or force it, as this may damage the mounting tabs or wiring.

  14. Locate the tail light bulb socket on the back of the assembly.
  15. Grip the socket firmly and rotate it counterclockwise.
  16. Pull the socket straight out to remove it from the housing.

  18. Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
  19. Insert the new bulb into the socket, aligning it properly.
  20. Press the bulb firmly into place until fully seated.

  22. Insert the bulb socket back into the tail light housing.
  23. Rotate the socket clockwise until it locks into place.

  25. Align the tail light assembly with the vehicle’s mounting points.
  26. Press the tail light firmly into position until fully seated.
  27. Make sure the tail light is fully seated before tightening screws.
  28. Reinstall the two T25 Torx screws and tighten securely.
  29. Snap the plastic access cover back into place.
