Steps:

  1. Turn off the washer dryer and unplug it before cleaning the drawer or cavity.
  2. Keep hot, soapy water away from the controls and plug, and dry your hands before reconnecting power.
  3. Gather a brush, hot, soapy water, and a non-scratch sponge.
  4. Have a small wire, dental brush, or small brush ready if the spray holes in the drawer cavity are blocked.
  5. Clean the filter every 3 to 6 months to help prevent an E03 error.
  6. Pull the dispenser drawer straight out until it stops.
  7. Gently press down the fabric softener level indicator inside the drawer.
  8. Keep the indicator pressed while sliding the drawer fully out of the washer dryer.
  9. Inspect the empty drawer cavity for mold, detergent residue, and residue.
  10. Block the hole in the cavity before using a brush inside the opening.
  11. A dropped brush can fall into the machine and be hard to retrieve.
  12. Dip a brush or larger brush in hot, soapy water and scrub the cavity.
  13. Use plenty of hot, soapy water to remove mold and residue from the cavity.
  14. Use a small wire to clear any blocked spray holes at the top of the cavity.
  15. A dental brush or small brush can also help clear the small holes.
  16. Laundry pods go straight into the drum, so they may help keep the drawer area cleaner.
  17. Lift the fabric softener level indicator out of the detergent drawer.
  18. Scrub the level indicator with a brush and hot, soapy water.
  19. Scrub inside the dispenser drawer with a brush and hot, soapy water.
  20. Use a non-scratch sponge to remove stubborn mold and residue from the drawer.
  21. Clean the drawer until it is free of visible residue.
  22. Push the fabric softener level indicator back into the dispenser drawer.
  23. Check that the drawer cavity is clean before reinstalling the drawer.
  24. Line up the drawer with the grooves in the dispenser opening.
  25. Push the drawer all the way in until it sits fully seated.
  26. Open the door and check the door seal for lint, fluff, mold, and residue.
  27. Lint can build up inside the door seal because this machine also tumble dries.
  28. Scrub the door seal with a non-scratch sponge and hot, soapy water.
  29. Use a wet/dry vacuum nozzle to remove fluff and lint if the door seal is completely dry.
  30. Keep sharp tools away from the rubber seal so you don't cut or tear it.
  31. Clean the rubber until the fold is free of lint and visible residue.
  32. Reconnect the washer dryer and make sure the dispenser drawer is fitted.
  33. Run a hot hygienically fresh washing program with no clothes in the drum.
  34. Use the washing machine's service wash or hygiene cycle if it has one.
  35. Low-temperature washes may not kill bacteria and can leave the machine smelling bad.
  36. Let the cycle flush the machine before washing clothes again.
