Steps:
- Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the wall outlet.
- Let the machine cool if it has just run a hot wash.
- Prepare hot, soapy water, a cloth, and a brush for cleaning.
- Use only hot, soapy water for this cleaning, and don't mix cleaning chemicals in the drawer or cavity.
- Pull the dispenser drawer out from the top until it stops.
- Check the top of the drawer for a release button.
- The Indesit IWC6105 drawer doesn't have a top button.
- Find the two retaining clips that stop the drawer from coming out, with one on the left side and one on the right side.
- Clip layout: left clip, drawer front, right clip.
- Grip the drawer and push it to the right while lifting it upward.
- Use firm, controlled pressure to flex the drawer past the retaining clips.
- If the drawer is stuck, check again for a top release button before using more force.
- Don't yank the drawer straight out, as forcing it the wrong way can damage the clips.
- Scrub the inside of the drawer with a brush and hot, soapy water.
- Scrub the outside of the drawer with the brush and hot, soapy water.
- Remove washing powder, detergent, fabric conditioner residue, and buildup from every compartment.
- Wipe the inside of the dispenser drawer cavity with a cloth dampened with hot, soapy water.
- Don't use the brush inside the cavity, because it can fall down the hole and get stuck in the washing machine.
- Keep wiping until the visible residue is removed from the drawer area.
- Align the drawer with the grooves in the dispenser opening.
- Slide the drawer into the grooves and push it all the way home.
- If the drawer resists, pull it back slightly and realign it with the grooves instead of forcing it.
- Pull the drawer out and push it in again to confirm it moves smoothly and seats securely.
- Open the washing machine door and inspect the rubber door seal.
- Make sure the drainage hole in the rubber seal isn't blocked.
- Wipe away any residue or buildup from the rubber seal.
- Run a 90 °C wash program or the Drum Clean option with no laundry in the machine.
- Set the brush aside for future cleaning use.
