Altyk Le petit PC portable L14 Wi-Fi Card Replacement

Description: Replacing the Wi-Fi card on the Altyk L14 laptop.

Steps:

  1. Turn your machine over so that the bottom is facing you.
  2. You have 10 screws facing you:
  3. 8 identical short Phillips screws (PH000)
  4. 2 identical long Phillips screws (PH000) in the corners near the clutch hinges
  5. Once the screws are removed, you can pry up with an opening pick as shown in the second photo. There is no risk of breaking any snap fits; there are none.

  6. Locate the battery connector.
  7. There are two ways to remove the battery:
  8. Either use plastic or ceramic tweezers to separate the connector from the motherboard by using the corners of the connector as indicated in red.
  9. Grasp the battery wires shown in blue and pull gently toward you to disconnect the battery.

  10. Remove the plastic film holding the antennas in place. You can stick it back onto the cooling system for now, as shown in the second photo.

  11. Disconnect the two antennas from the Wi-Fi card, using tweezers, you can pry up by going underneath. Be careful, the antennas are very fragile!

  12. Remove the screw; the Wi-Fi card will pop up on its own as shown in the second photo, and you will be able to remove it. You can now install the new one and follow the guide in reverse order to reassemble the device.
