Steps:

  1. Turn off the ignition, set the parking brake, remove the key, and wait for the infotainment screen to shut down.
  2. Use a wrench to disconnect the negative battery terminal before unplugging dashboard connectors.
  3. Keep metal tools away from live connectors to avoid shorts and fault codes.
  4. Protect the gloss-painted dashboard trim and the LCD screen from scratches while you work.
  5. Use the visible landmarks in the dash: the upper trim, the original monitor, the radio support, and the original radio.
  6. Use a plastic pry tool to lift the upper trim bezel a little at the lower edge.
  7. Work around the lower and upper edges, releasing the clips gradually instead of pulling one corner hard.
  8. The trim is delicate, and the lower dashboard finish is gloss painted.
  9. Support the trim as soon as it comes loose so it doesn't pull on the connector.
  10. Use a small flathead screwdriver to press the latch on the white connector behind the trim.
  11. Unplug the white connector and set the trim aside.
  12. Use a Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws above the monitor.
  13. Keep the screws separated for reassembly.
  14. Use a small flathead screwdriver to pull down the two plastic clips above the monitor.
  15. Lift the monitor upward once both clips are released.
  16. Handle the monitor by its edges to avoid pressing on the LCD.
  17. Tilt the display only far enough to reach the rear connector.
  18. Use a small flathead screwdriver to press the connector latch and pull the plug straight out.
  19. The connector can be tight, so work the latch gently instead of prying against the screen.
  20. Keep the screwdriver away from the painted dashboard and the LCD.
  21. Set the original display aside in a safe place.
  22. Remove the dashboard frame around the radio opening if it is still clipped in place.
  23. Use a plastic pry tool and release the clips gently.
  24. Use a Torx screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the original radio support.
  25. Pull the original radio support out of the dash opening.
  26. The JF Sound radio support replaces this original support.
  27. Use a Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the original radio.
  28. Use a small flathead screwdriver only as a gentle aid if the radio is stuck.
  29. Pull the original radio straight out of the dashboard.
  30. Unplug the rear connectors from the radio.
  31. Unplug the ISO connector from the original radio.
  32. Set the original radio aside.
  33. Find the cable in the dash that linked the original radio to the original monitor.
  34. Pull this cable out of the working area because the JF Sound unit does not reuse the original monitor.
  35. Keep the remaining vehicle plugs accessible for the new harness.
  36. Do not cut any factory wiring.
  37. Place the JF Sound radio near the opening and feed the harness and cables into the dash cavity.
  38. Slide the unit inward just far enough to check that the body and face match the dashboard.
  39. Push the cables to the back of the cavity so they do not block the fit.
  40. Check whether any brackets, cables, or trim pieces still need to be moved before continuing.
  41. Do not force the radio flush if it catches on a cable or support.
  42. Remove the radio from the opening if you need more access to the connectors.
  43. Connect the JF Sound wiring harness to the vehicle ISO connector and matching rear connectors.
  44. Plug each keyed connector into its matching port on the radio.
  45. Do not force a connector that does not align.
  46. Connect the rearview camera input if installing a camera.
  47. Route the optional USB cables and microphone before seating the radio.
  48. Place the optional microphone in the original microphone position if using hands-free calling.
  49. Tuck excess cable into the dash cavity without sharp bends.
  50. Reconnect the negative battery terminal temporarily.
  51. Turn the ignition on and let the Android radio boot.
  52. Test the radio audio and volume control.
  53. Test the steering wheel controls, climate-control display, and vehicle settings menus.
  54. Select reverse gear to check the rear camera, parking sensor view, and dynamic guide lines.
  55. Turn the steering wheel while in reverse and confirm the guide lines move with the wheel.
  56. Shift out of reverse after the test to stop the parking alert sound.
  57. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery terminal again before securing the unit.
  58. Install the JF Sound radio support in place of the original support.
  59. Use a Torx screwdriver to reinstall the four support screws.
  60. Slide the radio into the support while guiding the cables behind the unit.
  61. Secure the radio with the two Torx screws if the JF Sound support uses the original mounting points.
  62. Reconnect the white connector to the upper trim.
  63. Press the trims back into place by hand until the clips sit flush.
  64. Do not trap connectors or cables behind the trim.
  65. Reconnect the negative battery terminal and turn the ignition on.
  66. Set the startup logo to Peugeot if desired.
  67. Set the button illumination color to match the original vehicle controls.
  68. Open car info and confirm original functions such as welcome lighting and rear wiper settings are available.
  69. Test the radio, both USB ports, V-in, Bluetooth music, and DSP menus.
  70. Adjust the 31-band equalizer with presets such as Jazz, Classic, Pop, Flat, or User.
  71. Confirm the finished unit sits flush in the dashboard.
