ID: 219398
Description: This is a teardown on a nonfunctional Kodak...
Steps:
- Removing exterior screws. (All the same size)
- with the camera facing you, there are:
- two on the bottom
- one on the left
- two on the right
- Flip open lens cover
- Open battery door
- pry off front cover starting at the bottom, there are only two locking tabs at the top to be mindful of.
- Gently pry top cover forwards towards lens face
- watch for side tabs holding in the top
- Be careful for viewfinder cover as the guide-pins are brittle and can snap off if forcing top off
- Here is where you can remove/ replace the top slider as it clips in on the back
- Close the cover
- There are four screws, two on either side of the camera holding on the lens cover, remove them.
- Two on the front
- two on the top
- Unhook the springs putting tension on the cover
- The left can be unhooked from the cover itself
- The right remains on the cover and unhooks from the body
- The wires are not removable unless desoldered, or cut
- Remove top three screws securing the rear cover
- (with the rear facing you) begin prying it off starting with the left side (side opposite film lever)
- If you have a stuck film door with film inside you can begin opening it after this step.
- There is a small gear holding closed the lever, switch it out the way with a set of tweezers
- Pull the lever mechanism and the film door will open
- if necessary you can either rewind the film back into itself using a #4 flathead or by winding the gears up top in the appropriate direction
