Steps:

  1. Unplug the dishwasher and turn off its water supply before opening any panels.
  2. Pull the dishwasher out only as far as needed, and don't strain the water hose, drain hose, or power cord.
  3. Place a towel near the work area to catch leftover water from the leak.
  4. Check whether the dishwasher leaks when the fill solenoid valve activates to load water.
  5. Look for water coming from below the fill solenoid valve area.
  6. A heavy leak during filling points to the small hose connection at the solenoid valve.
  7. If you must test with panels removed, keep hands and tools away from wiring and moving parts.
  8. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the top panel at its two mounting points.
  9. Keep the screws organized so they return to the same locations during reassembly.
  10. Lift the top panel to release the interlocking tabs holding it in place.
  11. Set the top panel aside on a stable surface.
  12. Use a screwdriver to remove the visible screws securing the outer panel.
  13. On this dishwasher, the screws were arranged in three visible groups around the panel.
  14. Remove the panel to expose the fill tank area.
  15. Watch for sharp metal edges while handling the panel.
  16. Find the small hose connected near the fill solenoid valve.
  17. Check whether the hose has slipped off its fitting.
  18. Inspect the hose end, fitting, and nearby passage for a visible obstruction.
  19. Water pressure or a blockage can force the hose off over time.
  20. Check whether the hose clamp is loose, weak, or damaged.
  21. Push the hose fully back onto the solenoid valve fitting.
  22. Use pliers or a screwdriver to position the hose clamp over the fitting.
  23. Replace the hose clamp if it doesn't hold the hose firmly.
  24. Replace the hose if the end is split, stretched, or unable to stay on the fitting.
  25. Don't overtighten a clamp against plastic fittings.
  26. Reinstall the outer panel over the fill tank area.
  27. Use a screwdriver to reinstall the screws removed from the outer panel.
  28. Set the top panel back onto the dishwasher and engage its interlocking tabs.
  29. Use a screwdriver to reinstall the two top panel screws.
  30. Turn the water supply back on and plug in the dishwasher.
  31. Start a fill cycle and watch the solenoid valve area for drips.
  32. Stop the dishwasher, unplug it, and turn off the water if the hose leaks again.
  33. Recheck that the hose is fully seated and the clamp is tight if the leak returns.
