  6. The carbonator valve becomes visible. You can fold the mechanism upwards.
  7. You may already see that the plastic union nut has torn off from the valve with the thin pressure hose, or - as seen here - has a crack.
  8. The hose is attached on both sides with such a nut. At the carbonator unit, the nut is easier to attach, and the replacement part can be made stronger. It is generally better to also release this nut and connect the hose in reverse. Then you will have to replace the stronger nut on the carbonator unit.
  9. To release and remove the hose on the other side, use this guide.
  10. The plastic parts are delicate. Try to release the nut only with your fingers, and later to tighten it again only with your fingers.

  12. Unscrew the two mounting screws of the carbonating valve.
  13. Lift the carbonating valve upward to remove it.
  14. Unscrew the union nut. The hose is now free on one side.
  15. The defective nut can remain on the hose. Simply slide it back slightly to make room for the new one.
  16. The seal for the gas cylinder is inserted at the bottom of the carbonating valve. If the cylinder does not seal properly, this must be replaced.

  18. For information only: here is the disassembled carbonation valve. If the seals are broken, you can replace them. Normally, this is not necessary.
  19. If the valve is stiff, you can lubricate the seals with food-safe silicone grease.
