Steps:
- Remove the trim piece from the inside of the door.
- The trim piece should be easy to pull off without too much pressure. If you struggle, you may use another item to gently pry it off.
- Remove the connector by pushing the tab in and then pulling out the connector.
- You can use an additional tool to help push the tab in if you can't push it in with your fingers.
- Be careful to not pull on the wires; pull at the base to prevent damaging the connector.
- With a 10mm socket wrench, remove the three nuts.
- As you are removing the nuts, the mirror becomes loosened. Make sure you are holding onto the mirror to prevent it from falling.
- Remove the side mirror.
- Hold it with a good grip as you pull it away from the car door to prevent the sockets from getting loose.
- Place the new mirror and line it up.
- Make sure that the mirror is correctly aligned to the correct holes to properly install it.
- Place the nuts with the 10mm socket wrench and tighten.
- Hold the mirror firmly until you have ensured that all nuts have been properly tightened.
- Reinstall the connector
- Push in the connector until you hear a click to confirm that it is properly secured.
- Put the trim piece back on.
- Make sure the trim is secured to the car door so it does not fall off.
- Test the connection with buttons.
- Make sure that the button is switched to the side that is being tested and it's moving in the correct direction.
