A toaster does not remain in the "pushed down" state
ID: 220544
Description:
Steps:
- A very commonly-present problem. You push the toaster's lever down and it springs back straight away.
- The problem is entirely reparable, but you need to access the inside of the toaster. The reason is that the magnets, one permanent and one electromagnetic are not in a good contact when you press the lever. It may be due to inscrusted bread crumble, or because of loosened or misaligned part like the card below.
- The major dificulty is opening the toaster. If it is a cheap one, you will struggle, for example you might have to break the snap fits of the minute button. Sadly, it is not designed for opening, but to be thrown instead. But even if you break some of the elements during the opening, it is worth trying, your toaster will work one again.
