Steps:
- Make sure you have the correct module in front of you.
- Flip the SFP+ Module upside down.
- Find the 2 clicked in metal tabs on each side and use a small flathead to lever them up and out of the casing.
- Gently, without bending, pull the SFP+ module up and away from the jacket so it comes off.
- Make sure to store it somewhere safe.
- Using a PH00 screwdriver, unscrew both the screws holding the top casing to the bottom casing.
- Make sure to store these somewhere safe.
- Flip the SFP+ module sideways.
- Gently, using a flathead screwdriver, lever the top casing away from the bottom casing, making sure to not fully remove it.
- Carefully flip the SFP+ module back upright.
- Remove the top casing gently without making the lever mechanism move.
- Using a small flathead screwdriver, lever the TOSA/ROSA retainer away from the bottom casing.
- Take care to store this somewhere safe.
- Gently, pull the retainer lever away from the rest of the mechanism, making sure to not disturb the spring lock.
- Store this somewhere safe.
- Carefully pull the spring lock away from the bottom casing, making sure that the tiny spring is not lost in the process.
- Make sure to store both pieces in a safe place.
- Using a small flathead screwdriver, lever the PCB out of the bottom casing by the edge connector, making sure that the TOSA/ROSA are not stuck in place.
- Make sure to store the bottom casing somewhere safe.
- Congratulations! You got the PCB out without losing any parts.
