Steps:

  1. Make sure you have the correct module in front of you.
  2. Step image
  3. Flip the SFP+ Module upside down.
  4. Find the 2 clicked in metal tabs on each side and use a small flathead to lever them up and out of the casing.

  6. Gently, without bending, pull the SFP+ module up and away from the jacket so it comes off.
  7. Make sure to store it somewhere safe.

  9. Using a PH00 screwdriver, unscrew both the screws holding the top casing to the bottom casing.
  10. Make sure to store these somewhere safe.

  12. Flip the SFP+ module sideways.
  13. Gently, using a flathead screwdriver, lever the top casing away from the bottom casing, making sure to not fully remove it.

  15. Carefully flip the SFP+ module back upright.
  16. Remove the top casing gently without making the lever mechanism move.

  18. Using a small flathead screwdriver, lever the TOSA/ROSA retainer away from the bottom casing.
  19. Take care to store this somewhere safe.

  21. Gently, pull the retainer lever away from the rest of the mechanism, making sure to not disturb the spring lock.
  22. Store this somewhere safe.

  24. Carefully pull the spring lock away from the bottom casing, making sure that the tiny spring is not lost in the process.
  25. Make sure to store both pieces in a safe place.

  27. Using a small flathead screwdriver, lever the PCB out of the bottom casing by the edge connector, making sure that the TOSA/ROSA are not stuck in place.
  28. Make sure to store the bottom casing somewhere safe.

  30. Congratulations! You got the PCB out without losing any parts.
