Steps:

  1. Use an opening tool to remove each of the two rubber feet near the laptop hinges.
  2. The rubber feet are connected using adhesive, so you'll have to use a little bit of force to get them off. If you intend to reuse the feet, take care not to warp or tear them.

  4. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the two 6.4 mm-long silver screws.

  6. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the remaining eleven 6.4 mm-long black screws securing the lower case.

  8. Insert an opening pick or opening tool into the seam between the lower case and chassis.
  9. Pry around the entire perimeter until the lower case is fully released.
  10. Remove the lower case.
