Sonos Play 5 Teardown

Steps:

1. Pull the front bezel forward to remove. It's only secured by velcro

2. Gently peel the rubber base away from the edges to remove 6 phillips head screw.
3. The base plate will lift straight up to reveal 3 metal stanchions. I believe these are the wireless antennas.

4. Of the 8 screws securing the speakers to the casing, two are hidden behind thick rubber bungs, which need to be removed.
5. There are also a number of smaller philips screws underneath felt-like padding on the base of the unit. These also need to be removed.
6. Much of the circuitry is covered in some sort of epoxy resin, making maintenance virtually impossible
