Steps:

1. Remove the air filter housing by turning the plastic screw counterclockwise with your hand.

2. Remove the air filter that lays beneath the housing you removed in step 1.
3. It is good practice to inspect your air filter for tears or other defects. If defects are found it is best to replace the air filter rather than to clean it.

4. Clean the air filter thoroughly by spraying compressed air through the filter.
5. Be sure to spray the compressed air away from you in order to prevent injury.

6. Wipe all oil and water residue around the air filter casing with a paper towel or rag.

7. Place the air filter and air filter casing back in its original position.
8. Be sure the air filter and housing are lined up correctly.

9. Complete the maintenance by turning the screw clockwise with your hand until it is fully secured.
