Steps:

1. The metal cage is kept in place by three plastic tabs on the plastic body. Focus your pulling around these tabs to make the job easier.
2. In order to remove the metal cage, place one hand firmly on the back plastic body and your other hand on the metal cage.
3. Now work your way around the edge of the fan cage and pull it away from the plastic body.

4. To remove the fan blade, reach behind it and slowly pull it towards you.
5. If the fan blade axle has any hair or dirt, then clean it with a cloth to avoid further fan blade blockage.
6. If you are having difficulty removing the fan blade, then generously apply WD-40 to the fan blade axle.
