Steps:

1. Begin prying the front from the back on any side of the tablet. Gently work your way around the tablet with the prying tool.

2. Using a plastic opening tool, separate the back cover from the main device.
3. Open each side continuously to ensure all sides have been separated.

4. Turn the tablet over so the battery is facing up.

5. Carefully pull back the black tape covering the battery lead connector.
6. Disconnect connection with the board by pulling up on the wire with the plastic opening tool.

7. Using a plastic card or opening pick, separate the battery from the rest of the device.
8. Do not use a metal spudger like seen in the example photos. Use a plastic card to avoid bending or rupturing the battery.
