Steps:

1. Make sure you unplug the device before disassembling.
2. Remove the butter melter/measuring cup.

3. Remove the cover.

4. Remove the three 49 mm Phillips #2 screws.
5. Once you have removed the screws, remove the chute from popper base.

6. The popping chamber shaft should be located in the popper base once the chute is removed.

7. Reach down the popper base and grab the popping chamber shaft. Begin to remove it from the popper base.
8. Now remove it completely and set it aside for new shaft to be placed.
