Steps:

  1. Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the four screws to open up the case.
  2. Ensure that the drill is unplugged and remove the battery to avoid electrical shock or accidental activation.

  4. Remove the outer housing to reveal the screws that are used to connect the outer covering of the drill.
  5. Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove all the screws that join the two parts of the casing.
  6. Take the two halves of the housing and carefully pry them apart.
  7. Make sure not to touch any parts in the interior of the screwdriver.

  9. Find and replace the old trigger. The trigger assembly should be found inside the drill.
  10. The trigger is the component affixed to the motor and the wires. Loosen the wiring of the trigger carefully so that you can separate the connections of the terminals.
  11. Remove the wires. Then take a picture so that you can remember how they should be connected. Pull the old trigger out from its engagement with the housing.

  13. Install the new trigger. Place the new trigger in the position within the housing where the old trigger originated from.
  14. Solder the wires together by placing the terminal in the connector.
  15. Check the wire connections with the help of the photo which was taken earlier, if it is necessary.
  16. Make sure the trigger is locked tightly in its position.

  18. To reassemble the drill align the two halves of the housing back in their original positions, making sure that the internal parts, and in particular the trigger, are correctly positioned.
  19. Put the screws back into their respective holes and fasten them with the Phillips #2 screwdriver.
  20. Screw the nuts at an angle to make sure it will tightening uniformly.

  22. Test the trigger either by connecting the battery again or plugging the drill back in.
  23. Pull the trigger to make the drill glide and to engage the rig. If it will not operate correctly, retract and examine its wiring and the position of the trigger.
  24. If you meet any problems or have troubles with the trigger, don’t force it. Go back to the previous steps.
