Steps:

1. Using the JIS #1 screwdriver, loosen the nine screws, holding the outer yellow shell in place
2. The screwdriver you'll be using is a J1 head from the 64 Bit Kit.
3. Be sure to sure to use the Magnetic Project Mat to prevent loss of the screws.

4. Lift off the outer yellow shell.

5. Remove the screw holding the battery compartment shut.
6. Lift off the inner blue casing

7. Lift off the blue casing, exposing the white motor spring compartment.
8. Loosen and remove the three screws holding the white compartment door shut.

9. Unsnap the white compartment into two pieces.

10. Remove the motor spring located inside the rotating barrel and replace.
